Phoenix Monthly Roundup: May

Just like that another month has flown by. We’ve had a great month, busy as usual – beer never sleeps!

Boiler Move

While we have grand plans for the wider Brewery site, we of course must focus attention on the upkeep of the Brewery itself, in order to keep producing the highest quality beer you all know and love. And so, this month saw a halt to production, whilst we waved goodbye to our old boiler and waved hello to our new boiler. BIG job, lots of moving parts, preparation, planning and stress. The team reached boiling point (wink wink) on a few occasions. We are very glad the work is all complete, fingers crossed we are up and running smoother than ever. To celebrate we of course blew off some steam (wink wink) with a pint or two.

Collab with the County

We were chuffed to welcome Amber and Liam from The County Beer house – much loved customers and friends of ours. Brewing our legendary Wobbly Bob. They were put to work by Brewer Graeme, dug the mash tun with the legend Leo and had a nosey round the site and a tour of Tower with Andrew. Thank you for joining us, we can’t wait to enjoy a pint of your Bob. Sure it’ll be our best yet, Cheers.

Meet the Brewer events

This month we have had the pleasure of meeting lots of avid Phoenix fans at our ‘Meet the Brewer’ events. With support from our lovely customers and local CAMRA members, we enjoyed a few beers and chatted all things Ale, Phoenix expansion, the Brewing industry and of course our fan favourite ‘Wobbly Bob’. Top fans walked away with gift packs in hand and grins on their faces. Looking forward to many more ‘Meets’. Big thank you to the pubs that hosted us!
